By accessing the Liquid Soft website, Discord server, and DeviantArt group, it is your responsibility to read these terms. Failure to comply with these terms may result in warnings, bans, or other actions taken.

 

The Liquid Soft team reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time without warning or announcement.

This Terms of Service extends and applies to all Liquid Soft sites, communities, and social media which include the following: 

  • LiquidSofts.com
  • Toyhou.se
  • Discord

Terminology

ARPG; Art RolePlaying Game. A game in which you participate by creating works of art that may earn you rewards, such as points or in-game currency, that may be used to earn MYO slots, adoptable OCs, or in-game items.

Roleplay (RP); The act of writing from the perspective of your OC in a story written in collaboration with one or more participants with the intent to develop your OC's together with intertwined backstory and other connections (familial, romantic, platonic, hostile, etc)

OC; Original Character, a character your or another member has created.

MYO Slot; “MYO” stands for “Make Your Own.” MYO slots may be used to create your own Liquid Soft OC.

Closed Species (CS); A species where you are required to obtain an “MYO” slot in order to participate in the species or to create your own OC. Or, to purchase, win or otherwise earn a pre-made design.

Trait; Qualities which are visually depicted in the species, and are used when designing individual OCs or NPCs.

NPC; Non-Player Character. Characters owned by the mod team or owner used to make the world feel more alive, they may be used in site functions (i.e owning a shop) or appear in RP or ARPG events.

Liquid Soft (LS); The name of the species the ARPG is centered around. The abbreviation of “liquid soft”, “soft/s” may also be used to refer to the species.

In-game items; Digital items gained while participating in the ARPG.

Gooney; in-game currency earned by submitting art or writing, completing prompts or gained through events. It can be used to purchase in-game items or occasional adopts to gain more LS. 

Site Content

Our game is for members of 16 years and older due to the nature of a lot of themes that may not be suitable for all ages. By making an account you agree that you are 16 years or older, if you are caught falsifying your age it will result in a ban.

Liquidsofts.com may contain the following content:

  • PG-13 & R rated themes such as dark/crude humor and mild to moderate “blood”/violence. (LS do not bleed normal blood unless they have a special trait. Yet their goo acts like blood when they are hurt and/or their goo may look like blood in color) 
  • Religious themes (including but not limited to; worship, religious beliefs, existence of deities and religious trauma, cult-ish behaviors may be depicted in stories with proper TW’s)
  • Themes of possession & body horror in reference to certain NPC’s and in-canon Illnesses 
  • References to; apocalypses, wars. death, mild to semi-graphic horror elements (including but not limited to; existential, body and general horror / dread subjects) 
  • Mild to moderate vulgar language. (No slurs may be used.)

 

This content is allowed with appropriate warnings; 

  • Violent and/or heavy scenes (including but not limited to; semi-realistic / moderate gore, mental or physical struggles, violence) 
  • Content alluding to substance use; no real life, abusable, substances exist in-canon but similar things may be used in the forms of story-telling if they are used respectfully and with correct warnings. (Very detailed depictions of alcoholism, drug overdoses, hard drugs, addictions, etc. are not allowed.) 
  • LS staff reserves the right to deny submissions and give members warnings should they maliciously or knowingly misrepresent Heavy themes or use them in a context that may ridicule or make fun of people suffering from said issues. If something is done by accident no warnings will be given, but if the issue persists even after the issue has been pointed out a warning will be given. 

The following content, real or fictional, is NOT ALLOWED on the site or discord and will result in an immediate termination of services, without warning:

  • Pedophilia, incest, zoophilia, racism, sexism, ableism, nazism, zionism, homophobia, transphobia, or hate speech. 
  • Explicit sexual content or kink/fetish of any kind. (What adult members choose to do with their characters in private is their choice, but it's not accepted on-site or within any of the group.)
  • harassment, cyberbullying, stalking and spreading misinformation about other member(s) 

If a member is found to post illegal, abusive, or bigoted content outside of Liquid soft, they may be banned without warning. Similarly, if a member is found harassing others in the name of the Liquid Soft species, they may be given a warning or strike.

The Liquid soft website may not be used for unlawful content. Submitting, posting, distributing, or promoting illegal content will result in an immediate ban.

The LS lore & worldbuilding handles some heavy topics on occasion but is not our intention to misrepresent, romanticize or encourage said topics. 

If you believe something is being poorly represented you may bring it up but do not spread misinformation or harass staff or members of the group simply because you do not personally approve of what is depicted within the group.

 

User Terms

Users may only have ONE account. Making multiple accounts to gather more rewards is against the rules. 

  • Do not harass others for owning a Liquid soft, and do not approach others with trade offers if their characters are not listed as for trade/sale.
  • Do not deliberately start drama, harass users, or encourage inappropriate or rude behavior.
  • Do not argue with moderators or admins over decisions they have made within the species.
  • Liquid Soft are a closed species. Do not make your own without a MYO ("make your own") slot or express permission from the species owner.
  • Do not create unofficial Liquid soft, or "off-brands" to share or sell within the group. 
  • Note; We do not claim the concept of “goop/slime dragons” as our own nor do we claim that the concept is in any way original. 
  • We do not endorse or encourage the harassment of anyone who makes goo-creatures (whether as a one off OC, or as another CS) we simply ask you do not claim our lore & worldbuilding as your own or claim characters who are Not part of the species as Liquid Softs / LS
  • Do not deliberately spread misinformation about the Liquid Soft website, staff members or Liquid Soft content.
  • The use of generative AI is forbidden within the group, and any Liquid Soft NPCs, OCs, artwork, writing or other media may not be used in LLMs (large language models). Our data is not for use in any similar technologies.

 

BANNING:

  • Users who have been found to violate terms of service on multiple separate occasions can be banned. Depending on the severity of infractions, members may be privately informed and asked to rectify any violations of terms, or given a formal warning. In certain cases, a user may be banned for one singular, severe violation of terms.
  • Users who are banned from the Liquid soft website will lose access to the site's features, but will retain any Liquid soft under their ownership. They may not gain more Liquid Softs but may trade / sell (where applicable) / void their remaining LS 
  • The exception to the above is that if a user is found scamming other members of the group (such as price gouging, selling for extra under the table, selling Liquid Softs with no monetary value, using a trade to obtain goods/currency without actually sending the character) then a force transfer may be made via admins to the recipient.
  • Ban evasion is grounds for banning related parties. Do not make another account if you are banned from the Liquid Soft website. If you know a member who is banned, do not speak for the banned member or introduce a third party to convince staff to unban them.
  • Banned users may not receive new Liquid softs. They may trade banned Liquid soft for goods other than those on the Liquid soft site; the (unbanned) recipient of the Liquid Soft must provide proof of conversation with the banned member confirming the trade. The admins may then transfer the character over to the recipient.
  • Users who are only banned on the Discord for Discord community infractions may continue to participate in Liquid soft website without penalty.
  • The Blacklist (list of banned members) is private, as is the discussion of banned users. Do not post about banned users or their reason for banning. Do not harass banned users or contact them to solicit characters from them.

 

Designing an Liquid soft:

  • Users may make a LS based on OCs THEY own without permission. If this character is part of another CS, that CS will need to be okay with it as well.  Characters who have a Liquid Soft version must be traded with all their forms if traded/sold. This is to avoid ‘oc theft’ scandals, the Liquid Soft cannot be sold separately from their other, non-LS designs. 
  • Users MAY NOT design Liquid soft based on other people's original characters, nor may they take heavy inspiration from others' OCs. If you are found purposefully doing this and your design looks too much like another person's design you may be asked to do a redesign. but of course coincidences happen so this will be case-by-case.
  • Making LS based exactly on copyrighted IPs (games, movies, other media) is not allowed. However, one may take inspiration from other material as long as no copyrighted symbols or names are used, and the Liquid soft design is not a 1:1 copy of an existing copyrighted character. They must be recognizable as a standalone character. 
  • In relation to the above term, canon-based characters ("CBC", also known as character-based characters) are tentatively allowed under the stipulation that they may not be sold or used for monetary gain and that they must be stated on their profile to be based off of an existing copyrighted character. In addition, canon-based characters must have it stated when sent in for design approval, and traded, that they are based off of an existing media. Canon-based characters will have their monetary value set to $0, regardless of whether or not currency was involved in obtaining the MYO slot.
  • Canon-based characters inspired by public domain media are allowed to be made and resold, but it's highly encouraged to make them into their own individual character.
  • As a final note on canon-based characters, if the creator of the media has explicitly requested no offshoots be made (such as Welcome Home), they will not be allowed. Along with this rule, no characters based around franchises such as Disney may be made, to avoid legal trouble. Canon-based characters also may not be based on real-life people (including streamers/internet celebrities and their personas) or religious figures from any real world religion. 
  • Designers or owners of a LS design may not engage in behaviors that would be considered “trait claiming.” No one owns the individual concepts that make up your overall design or OC, and preventing members from creating designs with similar (individual) traits is forbidden. If a member reports a user for design theft over a design that simply shares a handful of similar design attributes then it will be considered a false report. (eg. preventing other LS designs from having “Lightning markings” because your LS also has “Lightning markings”)

 

Owning a Liquid soft:

 

By owning a Liquid soft, you may do the following:

  • Choose your Liquid soft name, gender, sexuality, age, personality, and backstory freely.
  • Determine who can and cannot draw your Liquid Soft. (Comment on a masterlist for a "do not draw" request if you'd like to avoid receiving gift art.)
  • Participate in Liquid soft-only activities, such as events that require you to use your own Liquid soft.

 

However, you may not do the following:

  • Use your Liquid soft for monetary gain, such as selling merchandise of your Liquid soft without express permission from the species owner.
  • Claim Liquid soft as your own species or claim the design as your own, unless you created it. 
  • Co-own your Liquid Soft with another user. Liquid Soft can only be listed under a single account 

Trading & Selling

You may trade a Liquid soft you own for other Liquid soft, non-Liquid soft designs, art, customs, etc. 

  • You may only sell a LS for the value listed on the ML. LS with a value of 0$ are not allowed to be sold for real world currencies.
  • You may not trade a Liquid soft that isn't uploaded to the Masterlist yet.
  • Liquid-Softs may not have NSFW artwork when traded to a minor.
  • In-game items may not be sold for any real world currency, they may only be traded for art/characters or gooneys (the site/species currency)
  • Gooneys may not be bought for any real world currency, they may only be traded for in-game items, art of characters.

 

Payment:

  • Payments made with USD will be done through PayPal as a primary method.
  • Do not offer an adoptable or bid on an auction if you do not have the funds to do so, failure to pay will result in a ban from sales for 1 month (unless an emergency occurred that is outside of the buyer’s control. (i.e vet bills, accident, etc) 

Voiding a Liquid soft:

  • Users may void Liquid soft they own anytime. Voiding an Liquid Soft removes it from the species forever, and it will be hidden from the masterlist. Note that the ML number will be re-used for adoptables or NPCs. Voiding is Irreversible and the character can only be brought back with the necessary MYO slot.
  • To void a Liquid Soft, submit a request to void the character(s) via Claims.
